Halloween Costume Reminder for Families 🎃

As we get ready for Halloween celebrations at school, we want to remind families to help keep costumes fun, inclusive, and respectful for everyone.

Please take a moment to review our costume guidelines:

✅ Be Creative and Have Fun — Without Causing Harm

Costumes should avoid:

• ❌ Cultural appropriation (e.g., Indigenous regalia)
• ❌ Racial representation (e.g., black or brown face)
• ❌ Religious figures or symbols
• ❌ Harmful stereotypes (e.g., mocking gender identities)
• ❌ Traumatic themes (e.g., weapons or violence)

We encourage costumes that celebrate imagination, kindness, and community spirit. Let’s work together to ensure Halloween is a safe and joyful experience for all students.

🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎃
— Your School Team

Please remember that this Friday is a provincial professional development day and the school will be closed.
