Chaffey-Burke School Plan 2021-22

Rationale:

At Chaffey-Burke School the school community tends to be respectful and inclusive of others; therefore we want to maintain and enhance this school climate. We believe that the explicit instruction of self regulation language and behavior will positively affect the daily interactions among students, staff and parents. We are very much interested in promoting and providing students with lifelong skills in: interactions, compassion, sharing and responsibility so that they are able to be positive citizens of all communities. We have focused on “Contributing to the Classroom and School Community” and we would now like to have more focus on “Valuing Diversity and Defending Human Rights” and “Exercising Democratic Rights and Responsibilities”.

Academic Goal: To improve Inquiry processes with “reading for Information”/ non-fiction text

Other Goal: To improve engagement through self-assessment in Learning with the redesigned curriculum
