I hope you and your families have been enjoying the unexpected days off due to the weather. There have been many families sledding and making snow people in the school yard. It has been great to see.
We do not know what will happen tomorrow as we are expecting more snow and freezing rain this evening and overnight. Please check the Burnaby schools website tomorrow morning for updates about possible school closures tomorrow.
In the interest of safety, we are moving tomorrow’s special lunch day to next Friday, January 26. Even if the school is open, we do not want parent volunteers to have to drive with the street conditions being what they are.
Also, please be aware that if the school is open tomorrow it will likely be very difficult to drive to the school as Chaffey, Sardis and Abbey streets have not been cleared and they are difficult to drive on.
